Midwife Sandra Elkins
LM, CPM, ADN
After the birth of her daughter and recognizing the need for change in birth settings, Sandra enrolled at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Her goal was to make a difference in the lives of mothers. Over her 13-year career, she has been recognized for her compassionate care and commitment, assisting in over 400 births as a primary midwife, reflecting her dedication and professional achievements.
In El Paso, Sandra completed an internship at Casa de Nacimiento. After finishing the program, she became a Certified Professional Midwife in 2001. With nearly a quarter-century of experience as a CPM, she offers trusted expertise. In 2024, she will be celebrating 23 years as a CPM, 22 years as a Texas Licensed Midwife, and 9 years as a Registered Nurse.
While she acknowledges the significant responsibility, Sandra knows what an honor it is to be entrusted with this beautiful life event. Her approach to birthing services is rooted in genuine care and dedication, having assisted in approximately 500 births as the primary midwife.
